The Arbejdernes Landsbank group is a nationwide financial institution that only operates in Denmark. The group offers relevant and competitive financial products and services combined with competent advice to individuals, associations and small and medium-sized companies. The Arbejdernes Landsbank group has business activities in Arbejdernes Landsbank and the subsidiaries AL Finans and Vestjysk Bank. The latter became the official majority owner of Arbejdernes Landsbank in May 2021, and following this, the Arbejdernes Landsbank group was designated as a systemically important financial institution in June 2021. The two banks in the group are run as two independent banks, each with its own business models, activities and brands. - The scope of business on the credit side consists of lending to private and business customers in Denmark. Lending to private individuals makes up 42 percent of the total business scope, distributed among i.a. loans for car and housing. Lending to businesses makes up 14 percent of the business volume and is divided between lending to small and medium-sized companies in a number of different industries. Agriculture and fishing, retail trade, finance and insurance and real estate each make up more than 10 percent of the business portfolio.
